Spam is something that is effecting each and everyone one of us who own an email or two these days. There is
no sure way to avoid Spam, however, we can work at limiting it. The older your email address becomes,
the more apt you are to get Spam in your email inbox. Changing your email address now and then does cut back
on spam.
The best way to control Spam is to set up some Spam software in your email software program. There
are many free programs as well as ones you can purchase. What these programs do is create a Spam box
in your email program. All emails that your program considers Spam will go directly into the Spam
box rather then your inbox.
NOTE: there are times when an email you won't consider Spam will end up in the
Spam folder. You just need to check the Spam folder now and then and take appropriate action to make sure
that email goes directly to your inbox folder next time.
This also goes for your inbox. There will still be some Spam coming through, however, it will be at least
80% less Spam. Again, you'll just need to take appropriate action to move the new Spam to the Spam folder.
Just do a www.google.ca search on Spam programs for your email
software. Example, if you are using Outlook Express, type "Free Spam software for Outlook Express."
